Day 1 Arusha to Ndutu (South Serengeti)
Your safari begins at 8:00 AM with hotel pick-up in Arusha and a drive to Ndutu (approx. 5.5 hours, 260 km).
About 2 hours into the drive, enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape changes from hilly forests to open green grasslands.
Upon arrival in Ndutu, enjoy a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Ndutu’s sweeping plains form part of the Great Migration route, hosting over 2 million wildebeest, plus thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles.
Between December and April, the calving season attracts predators hunting the young wildebeest. Waterholes like Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek support abundant wildlife during the dry season.
Ndutu is home to six big cat species: lions, leopards, cheetahs, caracals, servals, and wildcats.
The day ends around 5:00 PM with transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.
Day 2 Ndutu (South Serengeti) to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park and explore its vast, iconic grasslands “Serengeti” means “endless plains.”
The park spans 14,763 sq km and is home to the “Big Five” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard) as well as impalas and abundant plains game.
Look out for the Serengeti “kopjes,” granite boulders rising from the grasslands, providing shelter for wildlife.
Enjoy a picnic lunch during the full-day game drive.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch along the way.
Explore the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest collapsed volcanic crater, surrounded by extinct volcanoes and home to around 30,000 animals at its watering holes.
End the day with dinner and overnight at your lodge or accommodation.
Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 Hours) to Arusha
On your final day, start early with a quick breakfast and descend around 6:30 AM into the Ngorongoro Crater floor.
