This 5-day safari showcases Tanzania’s rich wildlife and diverse landscapes in a compact, rewarding itinerary. From forests and lakes to elephant-filled savannah, each park offers a unique ecosystem without stretching your budget.

The journey starts in Arusha National Park with a walking safari and canoe ride on the Momella Lakes, followed by the scenic beauty of Lake Manyara National Park, known for flamingos and tree-climbing lions.

You’ll then explore Tarangire National Park, famous for baobabs and large elephant herds, including a magical sunrise balloon safari with bush breakfast.

The adventure ends at Ngorongoro Crater, where you may spot lions, zebras, buffalo, and even rhino — a spectacular finale to your safari.

A taste of what to expect…

Day 1 Arrival

The group arrives at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO). Participants are met by our representative and transferred to a hotel in Arusha.

  • Arusha National Park is one of the most accessible and diverse parks in northern Tanzania, featuring rainforest slopes of Mount Meru, open savannah, and the scenic Momella Lakes.

  • Enjoy a guided walking safari  one of the few parks in Tanzania where this is allowed  accompanied by an armed ranger. You may see giraffes, bushbuck, warthogs, and buffalo at close range while learning about the ecosystem.

  • Continue with a classic game drive in a Land Cruiser toward the beautiful Momella Lakes, home to flamingos and over 200 bird species.

  • Optional visit to the Ngurdoto Museum to learn about the park’s history and conservation efforts.

  • Today you visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its seasonal pink flamingos that gather along the lake (best seen April–November, depending on conditions).

  • The park hosts over 400 bird species and offers excellent birdwatching opportunities.

  • During your game drive, you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and the famous tree-climbing lions.

  • Today you explore Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most fascinating wildlife areas, crossed by the life-giving Tarangire River.

  • The river attracts giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and buffalo — and where prey gathers, lions are never far away.

  • During the dry season, Tarangire becomes a refuge for massive elephant herds, making it home to the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania. Elephants here are calm and often approach vehicles out of curiosity, offering incredible close-up sightings Wake up before dawn for your unforgettable hot air balloon safari. You’ll be transferred to the launch site and may spot nocturnal wildlife along the way. (Mornings are cool, so bring a light jacket.).

  • Watch the balloon being inflated before boarding the basket and gently rising with the sunrise over the savannah.

  • Enjoy a 1–1.5 hour scenic flight, drifting with the wind and viewing wildlife from a breathtaking bird’s-eye perspective.

  • After landing, celebrate with a bush breakfast and a glass of non-alcoholic champagne, receive your flight certificate, and then continue your game drive or return to your lodge for relaxation.

     
  • Enjoy a second day exploring Tarangire National Park, discovering scenic areas and wildlife you may have missed on your first visit.

  • The park is home to rare species such as gerenuks and oryx, along with lions, elephants, and other iconic animals.

  • You may also spot hyraxes  small creatures closely related to elephants  often seen resting on rocks.

  • With over 550 bird species, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife photography and observation.

  • Today you explore the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This vast volcanic caldera hosts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

  • After descending through lush forest and stopping at the scenic viewpoint, enjoy a game drive where you may see elephants, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, zebras, antelopes, and even rare black rhinos (though giraffes are not found inside the crater).

  • Stop for a picnic lunch near Lake Magadi, home to hippos and many bird species.

  • Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro area is one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders and a spectacular finale to your safari.

Rest in the hotel and transfer to the airport.
